Your Experience Day
1-2-1 Hands-OTuition

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at working at an anvil, hammer in hand, manipulating hot steel into a useful shape? Well, this may well be your opportunity. My workshop is compact, so you will get one to one tuition, without distractions, on safety, objectives and technique training in basic smithing to enable you to go home with your own knife at the end of the session.

What Can You Expect?

  • Individual Attention

  • Safety Briefing

  • PPE Supplied (but you can bring your own)

  • Planning Your Project/Decision Making

  • Discussion & Observation of Techniques

  • Practicing Techniques

  • Refreshments - Tea, coffee & biscuits are provided, but please bring your own lunch

  • Make A Knife - includes drawing out, shaping, scrolling, normalising, hardening & tempering.

My hope is that I can pass on some of the enjoyment that I get from crafting with metal and other materials to produce a useful object.

I have long been a 'maker of things', but attending an excellent blade making experience day with a Master was the trigger that set me on my current path.

Come and join me for a day and see what you can learn.
